Of the 2,000 people surveyed, only 10 percent spend time each day doing creative activities with their children. One third of parents with their children once a week, while two percent of parents admit to doing this.
When asked to give a score in the creativity of children with a scale of 1-10. As many as 40 percent of parents give their children a score between 1-5 for creativity. It is also perceived the child, such as feeling a lack of drawing ability. Only a third of children of primary school age parents admitted enough attention to what they do.
When asked what the most important quality to be implanted in children, a third of parents said 'confidence' and 22 percent said 'common sense'. Only 16 percent of parents think it's important to instill creativity and imagination of their children.
Angela Anning, Professor of Early Childhood Education from the University of Leeds, said, "It is interesting to see that creativity is now ranked third in the view of parents as an important quality for children's education," he told Female First.
He added, "Creativity, even the simple pleasures while drawing and coloring, instill confidence and help develop self-confidence and understanding all around us."

Angela Anning offers five tips to improve the creativity of children.
1. Make yourself interested in the creativity of children and join in games and activities your child.
2. Schedule time and space for children to be creative. Can be anywhere, like on the kitchen table, in front of the television, bathrooms and anywhere.
3. Vary the resources that your children can play creatively according to their age. Provide a range of support such as paints, dolls, small figures, boxes, fabrics, wooden spoons, cardboard, and anything that can be used to play but still safe.
4. Read a story to your children and nurture their interest in talking about various things such as animals, monsters, fairies, machinery, cars, nature, flowers, and so on.
5. Enjoy music and eksplorasilah fun with the kids. Take the time to draw, talk and play with them.
